Newest Project, dealing with domestic violence within the home. My subject grew up in a domestic violence home. These images are moments captured whilst talking to Kelly about events that happened whilst growing up.

The images shown are my first attempt of dealing with issues which effect the female as a gender. I was initial thinking about ideas of female stereotypes i.e the femme fatale and the issues that arise like the attacks of women within the home. Hence why i thought i would use the tape. There are many issues i want to explore but i thought it maybe a good starting point. Maybe this way is too objective though.. I would like to see what people think.

Morning!!!

Hey Im Lindsey Im a 3rd year photojournalism student at Swansea Met University. I am immensely interested in Graffiti and street art and the subculture.

I use my photography to document the subculture.

Previous Work

My previous work is dealing with subcutural issues such as the graffiti scene and representation of women with in it. i started this series of work by using male subjects but i found this was not a very interesting way of working so i then started to work in the studio and use everyday products you would associate with women such as hair spray,deodorant, lipstick and replace them with spray cans. to show that women do graffiti too and this is a major tool that they use.

I’ve been working with Rose again recently at a few graffiti events –  Upfest and Not Just Banksy so ill show a few images here from those events. I also worked with Rose at her home in Bristol, we began juxtaposing some images and playing around with iconic imagery.
